Representatives from the NRL along with Chief Executive Officers from all sixteen Clubs have spent the past two days on the Gold Coast, gathering at Parkwood Village for the NRL CEO’s Conference.

With Commonwealth Games events being run across the City, it was a great opportunity to hear from some of those responsible for the Games success, with the group also attending a number of sessions during their visit.

“We had a number of different sessions with speakers from the Games on sales, marketing, ticketing, a whole range of security services and that’s all-important information to take back to our own environment”

Annesley also believes hosting the conference during the Commonwealth Games highlighted just how far the Gold Coast has come as a City.

“this is the sixth largest City in the country, this is an international event with billions of viewers around the world and to have the NRL here to soak some of that up and take away some of the learnings that I guess the Commonwealth Games organisers have taken away from this event is useful for the clubs in how they run their day to day business”

It’s the first time the Gold Coast Titans have hosted the conference since the appointment of new owners, with CEO Graham Annesley saying he had received only positive feedback from those shown through the clubs training and administrative facilities.

“It’s the first time that we have had the opportunity to show the entire group of Club CEO’s our facilities here at Parkwood, a number of them have been individually over the course of the last eighteen months when we have played games against them to have a look, but we had a group of about eight that came through yesterday for a mini tour and I think they walked away pretty impressed”
