Club debutant Brenko Lee believes the stars have aligned ahead of his first match with so many things in his favour.

"It's up in Brisbane, I'm a Brissie boy, I'm indigenous, it's Indigenous Round and it's my club debut, it couldn't get any bigger," Lee said.

The Logan product reached out over the pre-season about the prospect of returning home and Coach Garth Brennan snapped him up as soon as he became available. A knee injury during the first trial match against the Broncos halted his start to the season but Lee can't wait to add to his 33 NRL game tally.

"I am excited. Everything happens for a reason but it wasn't ideal getting injured in the trial.

"I've had three games game back at Burleigh and I've done everything I can to get back.

"I just need to take this opportunity with both hands. The Coach wants me to take it easy but at the end of the day I need to take the opportunity and if I don't take it, when will I."

Adding to the challenge is the fact the Titans are desperate for a win and face a tough opposition in the fourth-placed Storm, with defence continuing to be a focus.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge but every team is a challenge these days and if you're not on your game you'll get towelled up.

"I think it's an attitude thing (the defence), if you've got that right you can defend well. We play NRL, we can all tackle. I think we're just lacking a bit with the attitude.

"You don't go out there to perform bad. If we all do our best for the team, we'll go a long way to winning. We do need a win."
