This Sunday, both Jai Arrow and Jai Whitbread will participate in the Cupid’s Fun Run, all in support of charity.

Both named as ambassadors last month, the pair will strip down to their bare essentials for the run through Broadbeach, raising much-needed funds for young children who suffer from neurofibromatosis (NF).

NF is a genetic neurological disorder than can affect the brain, spinal cord, nerve endings and your skin. Tumours grow along the nerves, and at present there is no cure.

Whitbread is pleased to be able to participate in the event to raise awareness and funds.

“I was approached by the club, and I was more than happy to jump on board,” he said.

“After learning more about it, the work the people do behind the scenes is amazing.”

The South Tweed junior has been copping it from his teammates about stripping down, but he says if it helps to raise funds, he is not too fazed.

“It’ll definitely be a sight for the bystanders, but I’m happy to be involved,” he said.

“The guys have been giving it to me on social (media), ripping into me a bit, but it’s just a bit of banter.”
