Sami shuffle sees Fifita move to centre

Gold Coast Titans winger Phillip Sami has been ruled out of tonight's Queensland derby against the North Queensland Cowboys, prompting Coach Justin Holbrook to shuffle his side.

The Titans leading try-scorer in 2021, David Fifita, will move to the centres, with the explosive backrower to line up against fellow Queensland Origin player Valentine Holmes.

The shift pushes Patrick Herbert to the wing, while Kevin Proctor will start in the backrow.

Proctor's 280 games of NRL experience will be vital against a tough Cowboys side in front of their home fans at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

The final change sees Jaimin Jolliffe elevated to the starting pack, with Moeaki Fotuaika moving to the interchange bench.
