Niggles but no concerns for Titans ahead of round one

Titans High Performance Manager Klint Hoare says Kevin Proctor, David Fifita and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui are all on track for trial games and round one starts despite injury reports.

Proctor has been ruled out of the All Stars clash with a hamstring injury, but will be ready for the start of the season.

"WIth Kevin it is just precautionary," Hoare said.

"He is one of our senior players and we want him ready for round one.

"He picked up a slight hamstring strain and is recovering really well and has been integrated back into some drills.

"He will be ready to go, we're looking at the Warriors trial in Lismore."

Hoare says there is nothing to worry about with David Fifita and he will line up for the Indigenous All Stars as expected.

"Today we had some good heavy opposed stuff and he got a little jar on his thumb but he went back in and got it strapped and it pulled up really well," Hoare said.

Tino Fa'asuamaleaui is another who will be right for season start.

"He had a really long season last year and played every game of the NRL and played State of Origin.

"We're just loading him up appropriately and monitoring what he does but he will be raring to go come round one."

Sam McIntyre picked up a stress fracture in his foot over the Christmas period, but is quickly returning to training.

"We are looking at him progressing his loads, he is out of the boot and has had an orthotic made up," Hoare said.

"The good thing with Sam is he has been able to do everything off feet and he has been able to lose body fat which is awesome for a guy that hasn't been able to run but he has now been integrated back into return to run programs and next week some mini skills stuff."
