Both of the Titans affiliate clubs have collected victories over the Anzac Round weekend of the Intrust Super Cup.

After taking each other on in the Gold Coast local derby last week, where the Seagulls took the points, both side were impressive in their victories over the Redcliffe Dolphins and PNG Hunters respectively.

Tweed Seagulls prove too strong for Dolphins

Tweed Seagulls overcame a poor recent record at the home of the Redcliffe Dolphins, claiming a 28-16 win at Moreton Daily Stadium in their Round 5 clash.

Redcliffe had previously won the past four games between the two sides at Redcliffe, but were upset by a committed Tweed side who are making a habit this season of breaking hoodoos. Full match report.

Bears hold on in Kokoda Cup thriller

Four game-ending injuries and an empty bench didn’t stop the Burleigh Bears from re-claiming the Kokoda Cup in a thrilling 25-8 Anzac Day victory against the Papua New Guinea Hunters.

“Considering the circumstances in today’s game, we really showed what we are capable of doing on the field,” Bears skipper said Luke Page post-match. Full match report.
