Moe ready to go, as Origin approaches

Moeaki Fotuaika was arguably best on ground in the Titans round 11 win over the Bulldogs and with State of Origin selection just a week away, the 21-year-old may have just played his way into a Maroons jersey.

After contributing from the interchange bench in recent weeks, Tyrone Peachey's suspension saw Tino Fa'asuamaleaui move to lock - opening a starting front row spot for Fotuaika who grabbed it with both hands.

In a 60 minute performance at Cbus Super Stadium, Fotuaika was huge.

He racked up 188 run metres, to go alongside 39 tackles.

It was Fotuaika who busted through the Bulldogs defence to find the supporting AJ Brimson for the match winning try.

That break was just one of many, as Fotuaika steamrolled his way through the defence.

He managed 10 tackle breaks in the hour long performance, but added his power game was also complimented by his discipline.

Fotuaika made zero errors and gave away no penalties.

After making his Origin debut in 2020, Fotuaika has well and truely put his hand up for selection in a Maroons pack that will be missing Josh Papalii and Lindsay Collins for the series opener.

His effort and energy will please Maroons fans, but first he is looking for another big performance for the Titans as the Gold Coast side heads to Coffs Harbour for a round 12 clash with the Cronulla Sharks.
