Round 4 team: Excitement machine returns to help down Phins
Jayden Campbell will make a triumphant return from injury against the Dolphins as the Titans prepare to host their South East Queensland rivals in the Sunshine Showdown at Cbus Super Stadium.
Six months after dislocating his patella in Round 25, 2023; the Gold Coast live wire has been named to don the Titans No. 1 jersey for the clash following a successful return for the Tweed Seagulls in the Hostplus Cup at the weekend.
In one of two changes from the team that faced the Bulldogs at Belmore last Saturday, Joe Stimson will replace injured captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui in the forward pack after being named for his first game on the bench, pushing Keenan Palasia into the starting side in place of the inspirational skipper who will miss the remainder of the season with an ACL rupture.
In Fa'asuamaleaui's absence, Kieran Foran will take on leadership duties for the Dolphins battle as he lines up for his first game of 2024 at home after missing Round 1.
Titans coach Des Hasler is also giving David Fifita every chance of proving his fitness for the clash with the dynamic edge forward named on the extended bench for the derby.
In the third instalment of the Titans' newest rivalry, a bumper family-friendly crowd is expected at home on Easter Saturday, with Australian rock legends Taxiride to headline pre-game entertainment before the blockbuster clash.
Kick-off is at 6.35pm (AEST) on Saturday at Cbus Super Stadium.
