Affiliate wrap: Titans young gun doubles up in Jets’ trip to PNG

Titans development forward Arama Hau was one of Ipswich’s best in the Jets trip abroad to face the Hunters on Saturday.

Wasting no time in troubling the scorers with his first four-pointer in only the second minute, the 19-year-old was quick to double up in the 28th minute in a tit-for-tat first half contest in Papua New Guinea.

Ken Maumalo was also among the points-scorers with a try and topped the running metres tally with 148, alongside an offload and two tackle breaks.

Despite a strong effort, the home side ran away with the game in the second half to win 36-18.

The Jets will now host Norths on Sunday afternoon at North Ipswich Reserve.

For Tweed, they had a bye at the weekend and will next face the Seagulls at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.
