The Titans are preparing to celebrate a major milestone at Cbus Super Stadium, with the club set to welcome its three millionth NRL fan through the gates against the Panthers this Saturday.
Since opening in 2008, the venue has become one of Gold Coast’s premier sporting and entertainment destinations, hosting countless memorable moments for Titans members, fans and the wider community.
To mark the special occasion, the three millionth Titans fan through the gates will receive a $3,000 cash prize courtesy of BESIX Watpac, the industry-leading builder behind Cbus Super Stadium and a company that has played a pivotal role in shaping Queensland’s sporting landscape through its portfolio of stadia construction.
The milestone highlights the enduring connection between the Titans, Cbus Super Stadium and the Gold Coast community, with nearly four million supporters having attended sporting matches and events at the venue over the past 18 years, primarily rugby league.
Titans CEO Steve Mitchell said the achievement was a testament to the passionate support of the club and the region.
"For nearly two decades, Cbus Super Stadium has been the home of so many unforgettable moments for our club, our members and our supporters. It’s a world-class venue and we’re proud to call it our home," Mitchell said.
"Having our three millionth NRL fan come through the gates this weekend is a remarkable milestone and one that reflects the strong connection this venue has with the Gold Coast community.
"It’s not just about a number; it's about the millions of memories that have been created here and the people who have helped make our home ground one of the great sporting venues in Australia.
"We're thrilled to celebrate the occasion alongside stadium builders BESIX Watpac and reward one lucky fan with $3,000 as part of what promises to be a special day at the stadium, even more fitting being Retro Round."
BESIX Watpac CEO Mark Baker said the company was proud to be part of the celebration.
"Cbus Super Stadium remains one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic pieces of sporting infrastructure and we’re incredibly excited to celebrate such a significant milestone for the Titans and their fans at their home ground," he said.
"Having been a part of the stadium’s journey at the very start, it’s been great to see it become such an important place for the community, and to watch the Gold Coast and Titans grow alongside it.
"As Queenslanders who have been building the state for over 100 years, we know few things bring people together like sport. BESIX Watpac has delivered every major stadium across the state, and it’s an honour to build the places where fans come together and memories are made.
"We look forward to being a part of this incredible milestone with the Titans on what is sure to be a memorable day for everyone involved."
Cbus Super Stadium general manager Alie Tatnell said the achievement showcased the important role sport plays in bringing the community together at the venue.
"We’re delighted to welcome the three millionth Titans fans to Cbus Super Stadium this Saturday, which has set the stage for some of the Gold Coast’s greatest sporting moments," she said.
"We’re grateful to work with Gold Coast Titans to not only deliver incredible memories for fans on the field, but also inspire the next generation of players and fans in the region."
