The Aquis Titans have decided to contest the grade 1 dangerous contact charge imposed on forward Ryan James for a tackle in Saturday's victory against Canberra Raiders.
James, who received the three Dally M Medal points against the Raiders after another first-class game, was subject of the charge for a 45th minute tackle on Raiders winger Jordan Rapana.
With his previous loading, the charge accrued 105 points if James took an early plea and 140 points if found guilty. The club believes it has a case strong enough to contest the charge.
He will take his case to the NRL judiciary panel tomorrow evening.
