Prop forward Jack Stockwell made his return to NRL football last Sunday against the Panthers and says after a long lay-off due to shoulder surgery, that he’s feeling good.
Stockwell arrived at the Titans for pre-season training and when the Picton junior took a knock, it was decided that a reconstruction was the best course of action and whilst he would miss the start of the season, it would help him in the long run.
After becoming Titan number 137 on Sunday, the 26-year-old is keen to become a regular in the 17 each week.
“It was really good to be out there with the guys that I’ve spent all pre-season with but unfortunately we couldn’t get the win,” Stockwell said.
“The shoulder is feeling really good and I’ve just been doing little extras before and after training each day.”
Stockwell has again been named on the interchange bench for the match against the Cowboys on Saturday night and is keen to be out there.
“You don’t go into any game thinking you’ll win. The Cowboys are playing at home and will have the crowd behind them. We’re just hoping we can go up there and play our best footy.”
