Late mail: Thompson to take on Knights in back five shuffle

Legion favourite Corey Thompson is a late inclusion for the Gold Coast Titans, forcing a backline reshuffle against the Newcastle Knights at Cbus Super Stadium this afternoon.

With club medicos opting to rest strike centre Phil Sami for another week due to a heavy head knock in last week's clash against the Dragons, the experienced flyer will join the Titans' final 17 on the wing, pushing excitement machine Jojo Fifita to the centres - a position the youngster has desired to get a crack at.

The remainder of the side remains as per program, with Brian Kelly returning from injury and Klese Haas making his NRL debut off the interchange bench. Jarrod Wallace is the 18th man for the clash.

The last home game at Cbus Super Stadium for 2022, the Gold Coast will be inspired to finish the year on a high, especially with this weekend's clash thanking members for their loyal support this season.

Kick-off is at 4.05pm, live on Channel 9, Fox League and Kayo.
